AvMed's holding company, SantaFe HealthCare, Inc.. is based in Gainesville, Florida. SantaFe HealthCare and its family of companies are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people in the communities we serve, throughout various stages of their lives.

SantaFe HealthCare is a thriving community-based not-for-profit whose affiliates employ more than 1,900 employees. In addition to AvMed, SantaFe operates Haven Hospice and the SantaFe Senior Living communities in Florida which include North Florida Retirement Village in Gainesville (The Village), Bayview Gardens in Clearwater, East Ridge Retirement Village in Cutler Bay and Terraces at Bonita Springs in Bonita Springs. Haven Hospice, one of the largest hospice and palliative care organizations operating in the U.S. provides end-of-life care for more than 700 patients and families daily throughout a 13,000-square-mile, 18-county service area in north Florida. Comprised of more than 550 employees and 1,000 volunteers, it is the only hospice to receive the American Hospital Association's 2008 Circle of Life Award, the nation's highest honor in end of life and palliative care. SantaFe's Senior Living provides a full continuum of independent and health services allowing seniors to stay in one community as their health care needs change. Our communities include independent apartment homes, cottages, assisted living apartments, memory support services and nursing care.
